Spring Has Sprung

After a cold and largely dreary central Texas winter, it’s official: spring has SPRUNG!

The bluebonnets are out in full force, my backyard elder tree and Texas mountain laurel are almost gaudy in their abundance of flowers, and the neighborhood is suddenly full of life with folks jogging, walking their dogs, working in their yards and washing their cars.  This is some happy-making sunshine — we are like a dang Norman Rockwell painting!
